GETTING STARTED

During a standard clean our Green Haus team will ensure each room in your home is spotless! All surfaces in the kitchen area will be wiped down including the exterior of the appliances and cabinets. Trash and recycle bins will be emptied and wiped. Bathroom area gets a full wipe down of all surfaces; bathtub, shower tiles, sink and toilet scrubbed; faucets shined. Living areas, bedrooms, hallways and laundry rooms are also included. All baseboards dusted, light switches and door knobs wiped, all floors vacuumed and mopped. You will need to purchase extras for us to clean inside of appliances, do deeper scrubbing, or move-in/out cleans. Deep Cleanings are required for homes that haven’t been cleaned in the last 30 days. This will be needed if there is excess mess, requires a very long time, or requires an extra detailed cleaning.

Requesting a Move Out Clean is always required if you have just moved out or are about to move into a new home. This is a detailed clean that will prepare the home for the next inhabitants. All items and garbage should already be removed from the home. Power and water needs to be connected.

We charge a flat rate which is based on the size of your home as well as an hourly rate if you only need a few things done. Take a look at the online booking form to get your price quote on services and extras that can be included.

We bring our own supplies! Our Green Haus Teams use a variety of natural cleaning products however, if you have any allergies or sensitivities it may be better if we use your personal products. If you would prefer that we use your personal vacuum cleaner in your space, just let us know!
Of course! We can add on many extra services such as cleaning inside the oven or fridge. Let us know if there are any other tasks you would like that are not on our set list. We are always happy to try and accommodate your needs!

Depending on the size of the home and the type of services required it could take anywhere from 3 to 8+ hours to complete a flat rate clean. Hourly rate cleans are required if it will take a very long time to clean. For hourly cleans you decide what you would like done and only pay for the time you choose the cleaners to be there.

We should update this section just to make it clearer for recurring and deep clean options
For quality control and safety reasons, we never send our cleaners out alone. A minimum of two cleaners will be showing up to accommodate your needs. For larger jobs (Deep Cleans and Move Outs) we send a minimum of 3 cleaners but you can increase the amount of cleaners if you would like!

A flat rate clean will guarantee that all rooms in your home will be cleaned, and if you’re not satisfied let us know within 48 hours and we will send the team back to complete the clean. An hourly rate clean would only guarantee that the cleaners would be able to complete as any tasks as possible within the time that has been paid for.

Again, I think we need to update and reword this because we do charge hourly regardless. I think it just needs to be clearer.

Days that we are busy or completely booked are made unavailable to ensure we are not double booking customers. Feel free to call us if you would like to request a date or time not available on the booking calendar. We’ll try our best!

Is this still a thing? Can we just delete this entire section because on the booking form it says “When would you like us to come?” Then says we may call to offer alternative days.

AIRBNB CLEANING SERVICE

Not at all! We started by cleaning Airbnbs with our sister company HostOften Vacation Rental Management. In November of 2020 we expanded our business to provide residential cleaning services in HRM.
It’s our specialty! We are happy to discuss a price that works best for you so you can add it directly to your listing to avoid hidden expenses and unexpected bills. If there is partying or above average mess left behind in your property, we will be required to add an extra charge for deep cleaning.
Our rates are set as low as possible to keep them acceptable for guests and we do not offer frequency discounts. It is assumed that the majority of hosts will continue to use our turnover services on a regular basis.

Depending on the size of your space, $90-$135 is typically reasonable. You will find some listings charge $20 or nothing but we feel that these hosts are not properly valuing their time.

A proper Airbnb turnover in Halifax takes 2-5 hours and guests who frequent Airbnb will understand this.
Not at all! Our team will work to get your property ready within the turnover window so you can maximize guest occupancy.
We recommend setting your check in/out times for 4pm and 11am. We start our turnovers at 11am to ensure enough time to reset your property for the next guest.
We would ideally like 72 hours notice but we will always try to rearrange our schedule to provide you with a turnover for a same-day booking.
We will train two team members specifically for your property and create custom checklists that will be used by them and any substitute/ backup cleaners. We also require our teams to send us photos so we can ensure the quality of the cleaning.
Nope. We will check ourselves in and out the same way your guests would. We are fully insured and receive criminal record checks to give you peace of mind with us in your home.
Our team will photograph and document any damage and notify you immediately. If there is something that can be easily fixed, we will take care of it. We are critical thinkers and will not bother you with minor issues.
We will wash bedding and towels on site and remake the beds according to your standards.

PRICING & POLICIES

For safety reasons we will not clean human or animal waste, or anything infested with bugs. We are not able to enter any properties that have been on the bed bug registry. We do not clean anything higher than what we can reach with a step stool.
Yes. We need your credit card information to book an appointment, but you will not be charged until your cleaning is completed.
Absolutely! Simply enter your coupon (giftcard) code on the booking form under “Discount Code”. Your final price will automatically change to reflect your coupon balance. At any time you can log into your account and see the balance on any giftcards you have.
Some discounts are for first time customers and some are for recurring customers only. In addition, some discounts are only one-time, and will not work for future service. There might be a couple reasons why a specific discount code no longer works. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Yes, we do service homes with pets and an additional service fee would apply. We can have our cleaners bring Eco Works cleaner or you can provide special supplies that are safe for your fur babies! We will not clean up any animal waste.

Do we charge an addition fee for pets? This section needs to be updated. Maybe something like this:

Yes, we do service homes with pets. We use all natural products that are safe to use around your fur babies however you can provide your own products if you prefer. If you have dogs that may interfere with the cleaning, we ask that you move them to a safe space while our team is there. We will not clean up any animal waste.

Should we put the price per hour after each offer to be clearer?

We do our best to schedule your cleaning for the day and time you have requested. We send out a text reminder a day before your cleaning so you know when to expect your team. We do allow a 1 hour arrival window to accommodate traffic issues, poor weather conditions or extended time spent at another cleaning.
We schedule your clean for the time you have requested but we do allow a 1 hour arrival window.
This just in case there is an issue with traffic, public transportation or time between cleans.
If you are unable to be home for your cleaning, you can provide info for entry and our team will ensure your home is locked before they leave. Please note that all our team members have undergone a criminal record check.

Green Haus Cleaning Co. is open until 8pm. We will send cleaners to your home no later than 4pm to ensure that they aren’t working after hours. We work 7 days a week but are rarely available on Sundays and holidays as we service a lot of Airbnbs in Halifax.

I adjusted the time from 2pm to 4pm because I wasn’t sure if this included our scheduling for recurring jobs.

TRUST & SAFETY

You bet! Once hired, our Green Haus Cleaners are required to get a criminal record check.
If something goes wrong, we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we will be there to take care of it. That’s our promise to you!
We have three levels of security in place. Firstly, our booking page is protected by extended validation ssl. Secondly, our booking form has its own layer of 256 bit security. Thirdly, credit card transactions are processed by Stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card). Rest assured we take security very seriously. Can you re-read this to make sure it all makes sense and is consistent in “security lingo”. I don’t know what this actually means I just cleaned up some grammatical issues and formatting.
If you aren’t fully satisfied with your cleaning, let us know within 48 hours and we will send a cleaner back to complete the job. If you still aren’t satisfied with the cleaning, we will give you a full refund for the cost of the clean.
We are fully insured with third party liability and will take care of accidents in the unlikely case that one occurs. Our company is registered with the province and all employees are paid a fair wage on the books.
